Geraldine “Jerry” Ann Fraher Rock Springs - Geraldine “Jerry” Ann Fraher, 85, of Rock Springs died September 24, 2012 at Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs after a lengthy illness. She was born December 26, 1926 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Louis Strain and Mary Crawley Strain. She attended schools in El Paso and graduated from El Paso High School with the class of 1943. She also received her bachelors degree in social work from Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles. She married John Fraher on June 16, 1948 in El Paso. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church in Rock Springs for many years and also for Kmart. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Council of Catholic Women. Her interests were reading, camping, dogs, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband John Fraher of Rock Springs; son Richard Fraher of Rock Springs; daughter Kathleen Fraher of Rock Springs; brother William Strain and wife Chris of Whitsett, North Carolina; sisters Helen Geisler and husband Jerry of Castle Rock. Colorado, and Louise Knaut and husband Don of Annapolis, Maryland; son-in-law John Larsen of Rock Springs; grandchildren Erik Larsen and wife Mai of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Amy Larsen of Cheyenne, and Toni Pinkham of Rock Springs; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Terri Larsen. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, A St. & Broadway, Rock Springs. A vigil service will be 5:00 p.m until 6:30 p. with rosary being recited at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the church. Inurnment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
