Glen E. Hunter

Aztec, NM - Glen E. Hunter, 70, of Aztec, NM passed away on August 3, 2007 in Silverton, CO. He was born on December 16, 1936 in Rock Springs the son of Woodrow and Helen (Branson) Hunter. Glen grew up in Green River, graduating from Green River High School with the class of 1954. He worked in the Trona Mines until his retirement in 1997. Glen married Pat Vines in 1956. They divorced in 1982. He married his soul mate Joyce Putman in 1985. Glen enjoyed life and was always doing something, mainly in his garage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife Joyce of Aztec, NM; sons Glen C. Hunter and Dean Hunter both of Green River, Jim Hunter of Phoenix, AZ, and Dale Putman of Spring Creek, NV; daughters, Kathy Hunter of Grand Junction, CO and Lisa Putman of Richfield, UT; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and one uncle, Harve Branson of Atlantic City, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Aztec Baptist Church, 1219 South Main Street, Aztec, NM with Pastor Don Stackpole officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 with Pastor Mark Butcher officiating at the Riverview Cemetery in Green River.
