Glenn Arthur Delp
Rock Springs - Glenn Arthur Delp 85, of Omaha, Nebraska died August 13, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a short illness. He had been a resident of Rock Springs for the past few years living with his son.
He was born November 3, 1922 in Stanton, Nebraska, the son of James Delp and Lovieann Reedy. He attended schools in Stanton and Pender, Nebraska and graduated from Pender High School with the class of 1930.
Glenn married Charleen Mayberry on June 9, 1946 in Omaha, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in 1961. He then married Edna Leeker in 1962 in Omaha. She also preceded him in death in 1996.
Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was also a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Omaha.
His interests included fishing, traveling, and supporting his son and grandson’s stock car race team.
Survivors include two sons, Charles G. Delp and wife Connie of Rock Springs, and Scott J. Delp of Denver, Colorado; one step-son, Carter Leeka and wife Kim of Omaha; one sister, Margaret Moore and husband Jim of Omaha; grandchildren, Chris and Casey Delp of Rock Springs, Irwin Leeka of Kansas City, Kansas, Cliff, Megan, and Loren Wagoner all of Omaha and Justin Wagoner of Texas; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Amelia Delp of Rock Springs; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
Interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha.
