Glyda E. Gaddo
Rock Springs - Glyda E. Gaddo, 73, of Rock Springs, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a sudden illness.
She was born January 17, 1936 in Green River, the daughter of Harold Leslie and Ruth Rosetta Race Laughter. She attended schools in Green River and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1954.
Glyda married Barney Ray Gaddo on February 18, 1956 in Green River.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Her interests were collecting Swarovski crystal and porcelain dolls, reading, cooking holiday dinners, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Barney Gaddo of Rock Springs; two daughters, Terri Lynn Daniel of Green River and Bonnie Jean Gaddo of Kihei, Maui, Hawaii; two brothers, Harold Race Laughter and wife Mary Ellen of Morgan, Utah, Theron Ray Laughter and wife Evelyn of Green River; one sister, Sherie Ann Anderson and husband David of Green River; 4 grandchildren, Tia Kay Desirena and husband Victor of Green River, Vendy Mae Borzea and husband Sean of Boise, Idaho, Jenny Rae Daniel of Salt Lake City, and Zachariah Holden Gaddo of Rock Springs; 4 great-grandchildren, Ariana Lynn, Greta Anne, Aden Michael, and John Clate Borzea all of Boise, Idaho; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and sister-in-law Janice Laughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Green River LDS Stake Center, 120 Shoshone, Green River.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and one hour prior to services at the church.
Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
