Hannah "Dottie" Bower

Hannah "Dottie" M. Bower Green River - Hannah "Dottie" M. Bower, 87, of Green River died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River after a lengthy illness. She was born July 27, 1921 in McKinnon, Wyoming, the daughter of Stephen and Hannah Nelson Warby. She married Glen Harsha on Dec. 13, 1938 in Manila, Utah. He preceded her in death November, 1940. She then married Ernie Pelser on December 13, 1942 in Green River. He preceded her in death in November, 1944. She then married Clarence Bower on December 3, 1950 in San Bruno, California. He preceded her in death in August, 1985. Dottie had been employed at numerous restaurants for many years. Her interests were her family, gardening, and embroidery. Survivors include one son, Edward Harsha and wife DeAnn of Green River; daughter, Linda Burdick and husband Jim of Green River; sisters, Elsie Martin of Fresno, California, and Thelma Marshall of Sandy, Utah; grandchildren, Ken Harsha of San Dimas, CA, Todd Harsha of Kenai, AK, and Layne Harsha of Tooele UT, Barbara Ann Pauley of Leesburg VA, Cheryl Johnson of Oak Hill, VA, Jackie, Jo-Jo, and Jennifer Curry all of Green River, Shawnee Burdick of Rock Springs, and Pam Shearing of Colorado; 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three spouses, four brothers, one half-brother, and six half-sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Green River LDS 1st & 3rd Ward Chapel, 1000 W. 4th North, Green River. Friends may call 6-7 p.m. Friday at the church and also one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
