Rock Springs – Harriet Ann Muir, 59, of Rock Springs died Friday January 30, 2004 at her home after a battle with cancer.
Harriet was born January 11, 1945 in Ely, Nevada the daughter of Eerol S. and Harriet Fletcher Howes. She attended schools in Hurricane, Junction, and Circleville, Utah. She attended Piute High School, ICS, and received an associates degree from Western Wyoming Community College.
On December 31, 1961 she married Grant Allen Muir in Ruth, Nevada.
She was a member of the Sweetwater Ham (KC7MKY) Radio, Sweetwater Emergency Management Races Appointment.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests included her family, church, photography, sewing, music, hunting, fishing, and reading.
Survivors include her husband Grant Allen Muir, three sons, Kennith Allen Muir, Dean J. Muir and wife Anita, and Sande James Muir all of Rock Springs; one brother Jerry Gillespie and wife Pamela of St. George, Utah; one sister, Erelynne Ryan and husband Bernie of Taylorsville, Utah; five grandchildren, Dean, Sandra, Aleisha, Katie Ann, and Stephen James; four aunts and two uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eerol and Harriet Howes, two brothers, Kennith Howes and Bryan Gillespie.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday February 3, 2004 at the LDS Foothill Ward Chapel, 3306 White Mountain Blvd, Rock Springs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday February 2, 2004 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Internment will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Rock Springs.
