Hazel Brown Rock Springs- Hazel Brown, 92, of Rock Springs, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Sage View Care Center after a sudden illness. She was born April 15, 1918 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Fred Anthony and Marie Jorgensen Robertson. She attended Roosevelt School and Rock Springs High School. She married Harold J. Brown on February 7, 1941 in Soda Springs, Idaho. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2004. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Her interests included eating out at restaurants, playing the piano and spending time with her family. Survivors include sons Garry F. Brown and wife Peggy, and Robert R. Brown and wife Carol all of Rock Springs; daughter Patty J. Simkins and husband Curtis of Rock Springs; sister Grace Lambert of Mountain View, Wyoming; grandchildren Colleen Meduna, Valerie Anderson, Jason Brown, Nancy Brown, Sean Simkins, and Heather Lapp; great-grandchildren Joshua Meduna, Chase Meduna, Abby Meduna, Christopher Anderson, Kalen Anderson, Nina Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Baylee Lapp, Padon Lapp, Braden Simkins, Nakota Simkins, Lane McIntosh; step-grandchildren Toni MarQuette and husband Curtis of Rock Springs, and Craig McIntosh of Centennial, Colorado; step great-grandchildren Katie McIntosh and Jon Ressler of Rock Springs, and Lane McIntosh of Centennial, Colorado; step great-great-grandson Alexzander Lower of Rock Springs; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs where friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 and one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Rock Springs. Family will be receiving friends at the home of Curtis and Patty Simkins, 2601 Popo Agie Dr., Rock Springs.
