Helen Ann Callahan Rock Springs - Helen Ann Callahan, 58, of Rock Springs, died Sunday, October 15, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. She was born June 10, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter of Albert and Janice Thullen. She graduated from South High School in Pueblo with the class of 1971. She married Eugene “Gene” Callahan on July 3, 1970 in Pueblo. She worked from many years as a child care provider. Her interests were bead working, helping others, and spending time with her three special dogs and her many friends. Survivors include her husband Gene Callahan of Rock Springs; sons Earl Callahan and wife Darcee of Boise, Idaho, Doug Fowles of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters Jody Leal and husband Ricky of Pueblo, and Brenda Callahan of Marbleton, Wyoming; brothers Frank Thullen of Pueblo, Rick Thullen and wife Laura of Rock Springs, Everett Thullen and wife Kathy of Dupo, Illinois; sisters, Cathy Henchel and husband Dennis and Peggy Tengler and husband Joe all of Pueblo, Brenda Booher of Fort Worth, Texas, and Cherie Thullen of Shepherd, Texas; grandchildren Seth, Kyle, Elizabeth and Rece Leal, Johnathon and McKenzie Callahan, and Brooklyn Smith; numerous aunts, uncles nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Janice Thullen. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2011 at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3309 Sweetwater Drive, Rock Springs.
