Helen A. Tanner Kizzire
Green River - Helen A. Tanner Kizzire, 87, formerly of Granger, Wyoming died May 4, 2012 at Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River.
She was born August 26, 1924 in Lyman, the daughter of Walter and Emily Louise Bluemel Tanner. She married Clifford A. Kizzire on March 17, 1944 in Green River. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple. He preceded her in death March 29, 2000.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her interests included reading, wordsearch and other puzzles, embroidery, participating in the activities at the Castle Rock Convalescent Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Diana Swartz and husband Ken of Casper, and Donita Thornock and husband Tom of Granger; brother Willard Tanner of Rock Springs; sisters Marie Lee of California/Utah and Mariam Banks of Lyman; grandchildren, Michelle Winter and husband Daryl of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kendy Madding and husband Robert of Casper, Rebecca Thornock of Granger; great-grandchildren Natasha Mackearney, Chase Mackearney, and Mercedes Madding; great-great-grandson Kyler; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Kizzire, parents Walter and Emily Louise Tanner, two daughters Sharroll and Sheila Kizzire, four brothers Chuck, Bill, Joe and Bud Tanner, two sisters Ruth Rollins and Mary Mourtisen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Lyman LDS Church, Lyman, Wyoming.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the Green River LDS 1st & 3rd Ward Chapel, 1000 E 4th North, Green River and on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church in Lyman.
Interment will take place in the Lyman Cemetery, Lyman, Wyoming.
