Ila Frances Marlin
Green River - Ila Frances Marlin, 83 of Green River died January 28, 2010 in Tremonton, Utah after being a patient at the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City the last 15 days.
She was born June 4, 1926 in Mesa, Arizona, the daughter of Frank and Mabel Griffis Cover. She grew up and graduated from high school in Montrose, Colorado.
She married Bernard Edward Marlin on April 5, 1944 in Montrose. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2005.
She had lived in Green River the last 42 years. She was a lifelong homemaker having been fortunate enough to never work outside the home.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her interests included reading, watching television, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include four daughters; Kay Barrett and husband Terry of Oakdale, California, Judy Cotton and husband Jerry of North Platte, Nebraska, Donna Giles and husband Craig of West Valley City, Utah and Barbara Kearl and husband Doug of Tremonton, Utah; two sons, Gary Marlin and wife Terri, and Jerry Marlin and wife Linda all of Green River; 23 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband, two brothers, one daughter, two granddaughters, one great-grandson, and one great-granddaughter.
Private family services will be conducted at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.
