Jack Von Rembow

John “Jack” Fredrick Von Rembow Rock Springs - John “Jack” Von Rembow, 77, of Rock Springs, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah with his family by his side. He was born June 14, 1932 in Rock Springs on Massachusetts Ave., the son of Joseph M. Von Rembow and Helen “Nel” Wendt Von Rembow. He attended schools in Rock Springs and received his GED in the military. He served in the US Army Airborne during the Korean Conflict. Jack met and married his next door neighbor Judy Forshaw in February, 1965 in Rock Springs. He was employed by several constructions companies including John Bunning Transfer Co. and Sullenta Construction running heavy equipment. He built rig locations, roads, and highways and other constructions. He was a member of the American Legion Archie Hay Post 24, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 151, VFW, and the Sweetwater County Search and Rescue Unit #26 for 30 years. His interests were hunting and fishing. He was a hunting guide for Californians and others. Other interests were visiting his sister Jeannie in Pavillion where family reunions with his other brothers were held, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and all his pets “his buddies”. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Judy Von Rembow of Rock Springs; daughters Debra Krumpach and husband John “J” of New Creek, West Virginia, Joan Parks and husband Arthur of Rock Springs; son Jim Von Rembow and wife Stephanie of Rock Springs; brother Joe Von Rembow of Midwest City, Oklahoma; sister Flora Jean “Jeannie” Wilson of Pavillion, Wyoming; grandchildren, Jeremy Krumpach of Miramar, Florida, Angela Krumpach of New Creek, West Virginia, Megan Parks of Corpus Christi, Texas, Lindsay Parks and Dalton Von Rembow both of Rock Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Vince Wendt. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services with military honors will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Rev. Jing Baldo will officiate.
