James Dale Bolton
James Dale Bolton, 68, of Rock Springs, died Thursday, July 7th, 2016, at the VA Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.
He was born November 30, 1947, in Windsor, MO, the son of James Ward Bolton and Marjorie Ruth Rickie. At age 7 he was fostered by Elwood and Elizabeth Chambers of Belton, MO. He graduated from Windsor High School with the class of 1966.
He enlisted with the United States Army in 1967 and graduated Quartermaster School with the class of 504….42nd Airborne Company in Fort Benning, Georgia. He finished his Army Tour in Vietnam when he returned home in the fall of 1969. James started his career in Law Enforcement and later went into Mining with Peabody Coal Company and later moved to Rock Springs, where he worked as an Oiler/Operator for Bridger Coal Company for 19 years. James relocated to Wright, WY, where he retired as a Drag Line Operator in the Powder River Basin.
James was a avid sportsmen who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and camping.
He was a member of the Grace Community Fellowship.
Survivors include his children Laura Denise Bolton Doak and husband Brett, Michael James Bolton and wife Nicole all of Rock Springs, Timothy Paul Bolton of Las Vegas, James Clyde Bolton and wife Chantell of Rock Springs; step daughter Allyson LaFollette of Rock Springs; five grandchildren Braden Doak, Colton Doak, Alyx Bolton, Stevie Bolton, and unborn Easton Bolton all of Rock Springs; mother Elizabeth Spickert, mother Virginia Chambers both of MO; sisters Letha Seward, Shirley Wilcockson, Janice Sue Kast, Brenda Lee Bolton, and Rebecca Bolton Schmidt, Teresa Olson, Cheryl Crossland; brothers Donald Chambers, Monte Chambers, Terry Spickert, Darrell, Buddy, Jack, Donald, Ed and Joseph Davis; and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his biological father James Bolton, biological mother Marjorie Rickie, father Elwood Chambers, Father Leo Spickert, Brother Darrel Ray Chambers, and grandson Weston Bolton.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday July 19th, 2016 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, Wyoming. John Barry will officiate.
