Rock Springs – James “Russell” Jackson, 71, of Rock Springs died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Sage View Care Center, Rock Springs after a lengthy illness.
Russell was born August 24, 1933 in Rosiclare, Illinois the son of Percy and Anna Brandt Jackson. He graduated from Rosiclare Community High School with the class of 1951. He was employed at FMC as a relief opperator for forty years. He retired in 1993.
His interest included hunting, going to his cabin, and observing wildlife.
Survivors include one son, Jim Jackson of Twisp, Washington; one brother, Bob Jackson of Bakersfield, California; three sisters, Judy Phillippe of Bevier, Missourri, Sue McMasters of Elizabethtown, Illinois, and Dinah Highley of Green River, Wyoming; and special friend, Gayle Kurtze of Rock Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
