James Wakefield

James Lee Wakefield Rock Springs - James Lee Wakefield, 68, of Rock Springs died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. He was born November 30, 1941 in Cheyenne, the son of Orson and Margie Wakefield. He attended schools in Cheyenne. He married Charlene Spoelstra February 14, 1969 in Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Wakefield was a member of the Moose Lodge. His interests were hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Charlene Wakefield of Rock Springs; sons, Russell Wakefield (Cindy Moore), David Roose and wife Cheryl all of Rock Springs; daughters, Kimberlene Wakefield of Cheyenne, and Launa Wakefield of Gillette; brothers, Harvey Wakefield and wife Kathy of Kemmerer, and George Wakefield and wife Bobbie of Green River; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one uncle, George Drube; 4 nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother Wayne, daughter Lawna Joy, and great-granddaughter Rhiana. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Church of Christ, 100 Clearview Dr., Rock Springs.
