Janet S. McMillan Rock Springs- Janet S. McMillan, 64, of Rock Springs died Friday, September 11,2015 at her home. She was born February 5,1951 in Saint Edward, Nebraska, the daughter of Dr. Herbert Jackman and Jeanne Noir Jackman. She attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from the Rock Springs High School with the class of 1969. She attended the University of Wyoming where she received her teaching credentials. She married Don McMillan on March 13, 1971 in Rock Springs She had worked as a substitute teacher for the School District #1 for 10 years, retiring in June of 1994. Her interests were scrabble, crocheting, puzzles, reading, Indian Culture. spending time with family and friends, Survivors include her husband Don McMillan of Rock Springs; daughter Autumn McMillan Johnson of Rock Springs; step-daughters Debroa Roybal of Rock Springs, and Lauri Ketchum of Ovid, Michigan; brothers Kurt Jackman of Tucson, and Lynn Jackman of Rock Springs; sisters Nelda Rosenbaum and husband Larry of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Alicia Jones of Utah; grandchildren Braden, Kyle and Cassidy Johnson, Lexus Sweets, Ethen Reddik, Laura Duran, Kayla Fletcher, Scott Ketchum, Rachel Ketchum and Alicia McMillan; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Herbert and Jeanne Jackman, daughter Corie McMillan Fisher; grandparents Howard and Laura Jackman, George and Myrttle Lenoirs, several nieces and nephews, 3 brothers-in law and 1 sister-in-law. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Masonic Lodge, 218 B Street, Rock Springs.
