Jared Henry Lewis
Green River - Jared Henry Lewis, 23, of Green River, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born May 15, 1991 in Rock Springs, the son of Henry Lewis and Cory Broadhead Burtin. He attended schools in Green River and graduation from the Expedition Academy with the class of 2009.
He was serving in the US Army National Guard as an engineer at the time of his death. He had been deployed to the middle east for 9 months.
His interests were his family and friends, the military, traveling and God.
Jared was an amazing brother, son, uncle, grandson and friend. Family was everything to Jared. He had a heart of gold and was as loyal as they come. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his father Henry Lewis of Green River; mother Cory Lewis-Burtin of Dacono, Colorado; grandmother Icilda Lewis of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Jessica Lewis of Green River, and Jordan Lewis of Casper; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; niece Jayleight Wright of Green River; nephews Gavyn Barr of Tennessee, and Lennox Silva of Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Bob Lewis and Dean Broadhead, grandmother Vaudeen Sitton, uncles Stuart Broadhead and Monte Male.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Expedtion Island Pavilion, 475 S 2nd E Green River, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Graveside military honors and interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
