Jaxon Owens Green River - Jaxon Alexander Owens, 22, of Green River, died January 29, 2010 at his home in Green River. He was born November 25, 1987 in Rock Springs, the son of Charles and Jana Barker Owens. He attended schools in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 2006. He had been employed by Dominos for many years while he was a student. He was presently employed by the Union Pacific Railroad as a brakeman, switchman and conductor. Jaxon was a member of the United Transportation Union. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an avid video gamer. His other interests were trucks, motorcycles, exploring with friends, shooting, off road trucking, and time with his family and friends. Survivors include his parents Charles and Jana Owens of Green River; sister Janie Owens of Green River; brothers, Rodney Owens of Las Vegas, Isaac and Will Owens both of Green River; grandparents, Edwin L. and Betty Owens, Don and Susan Barker all of Green River; aunts and uncles, Rusty and Sandy Owens, Rick and Karon Owens, Stan and Laura Owens, Judy Owens, Bonnie and David Arnold all of Green River, Alison and Franklin Bennett of Salt Lake City; 22 cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Green River LDS Stake Center, 120 Shoshone, Green River. Jaxon's friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening February 3, 2010 at the church, and Thursday morning 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
