Jerri Rivera

GREEN RIVER -- Jerri Marie Teixeira-Rivera, 51, of Green River, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013. She was born Dec. 10, 1961, in Illinois. She graduated from Rawlins High School. She worked for the Wyoming Corrections Department. She was a member of the Eagles. Her interests included animals, especially horses and her dogs, being outdoors, humor and surrounding herself with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Kerry Rivera; father, Jerome Teixeira; mother, Mary Teixeira of Rawlins; sister, Joyce Dean of California; and nieces, Vanessa Serson of Texas and Jasmine Alexandra of California. She is preceded in death by her brother, Steven Teixeira. At her request, her ashes will be spread in the Elk Mountains in the spring. A memorial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at the Evangelical Fellowship of Free Churches, 125 Firestone Road, Rock Springs. Doors will be open at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Larry Johnson will conduct the service.
