Jim R. Rogers Rock Springs - Jim R. Rogers, 61, died Saturday, December 13, 2008 in Rock Springs from injuries sustained from an auto accident. He was born December 15, 1946 in Gunnison, Utah, the son of Harold Lee Rogers Sr. and Helen Tooth. He attended schools in American Fork, Utah and graduated from American Fork High School with the class of 1965. He served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War and served two tours of duty. Jim married Julia Russon in American Fork. They were divorced in 1988. He owned and operated Rogers Welding in Rock Springs for the past 8 years. He was a member of the High Desert Riders and various gun clubs. His interests were hunting, fishing, guns, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Justin Rogers of Rock Springs; brothers Harold Rogers Jr. of Ogden, Utah, Wayne Rogers and wife Debbie of St. George, Utah, and Rick Rogers and wife Wanda of Evanston; one sister, Judy Taylor and husband Larry of Cedar City, Utah; four grandchildren, Rylie Rogers of Rock Springs, Orion Rogers of Provo, Utah, Tyler Rogers of Evanston, and Alexis Rogers of Rock Springs; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Rogers, one son, Wesley James Rogers. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Fox Funeral Home. Additional memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main St., Lehi, Utah.
