Joan Weimer

Joan Weimer Rock Spring - Joan Weimer, 79, of Rock Springs, died Friday, January 7, 2011 at University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah from complications of heart surgery. She was born January 17, 1931 in Sheridan, Wyoming, the daughter of Orion and Lottie Anderson Aldrich. She attended schools through high school in Sheridan. She married Charles Weimer Sr. on July17, 1947 in Hardin, Montana. He preceded her in death December 6, 1988. She was employed for many years as a day care provider in her home and also Ma & Pa�s Day Care in Rock Springs. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Rock Springs. Her interests were camping, playing bingo at the Senior Center, the Denver Bronco�s, involvement in her church, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include sons Chuck Weimer Jr. and companion Jodi Harper of Rock Springs, and Ken Weimer and wife Brenda of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Jan Maestas and husband Marshal and Tammy Kloefkorn and husband Roger all of Rock Springs; sister Frances Condray and husband Ernie of Kennewick, Washington; sister-in-law Karen Aldrich of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren Randy Weimer and companion Nicole, Scott Weimer, Katie Weimer and companion Shalamar, Brett Weimer and fianc� Sarah, Stephanie Weimer, Cruz Maestas, Sarah and Amanda Kloefkorn; 9 great-grandchildren; several cousins including special cousins Bobbie Corbin of Yuma, Arizona; several nieces and nephews; special friend Gertrude Keith of Rock Springs; and special friend/adopted daughter Pam McCormick of Rock Springs; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Weimer Sr., brother Sonny Aldrich, and sisters Lucille Novakavich and Stella Aldrich, mother-in-law Frances Weimer, and sister-in-law Marilou Weimer Moore. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the First Assembly of God, 2191 Century Blvd., Rock Springs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
