John Ray Adair Rock Springs - John Ray Adair, 59, of Rock Springs, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, following a sudden illness while out delivering mail. He was a longtime Rock Springs resident since 1979 and former resident of Belcher, Louisiana. He was born February 9, 1952 in Vernal, Utah, the son of John Parker and Margaret Aldridge Adair. He attended and graduated from high school in North Caddo, Louisiana. He married his sweetheart of 28 years Gloria on September 7, 2002. He owned and operated Hummingbird Glass for 25 years. He also worked as a contract mail route with his wife. His interests included hunting, fishing, cooking, working in his shop on his lathe, and spending time with his two dogs, Frannie & Millie. He touched many lives and was loved by even more. Survivors include his wife Gloria Adair of Rock Springs; daughter Christina Germany and husband Jimmy of Bossier City, Louisiana; one uncle, Tom Aldridge of Vernal, Utah; one niece Tammy Ward and husband Steve of Belcher; two step-sons Brian Waller of Longview, Texas, and Bryan Rhodes of Bossier City; mother-in-law Louise Juchartz of Blanchard, Louisiana; father-in-law Prentis Simpson and wife Daisy of Shreveport, Louisiana; sisters-in-law Regina Ford of Longview, Texas, Karen Moore of Blanchard, Angela Juchartz of Kemp, Texas; one brother-in-law, Garland Simpson of Blachard; several nieces and nephews; special lifetime friend Greg Hall of Benton, Louisiana; special friends, Jim and Bridgette Davis and family of Rock Springs, and Rick and Trish Womack of Keithville, Louisiana; many more friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only sister, Linda Adair Cotton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
