John B. Reese

John B. Reese Rock Springs - John B. Reese, 88, of Rock Springs died July 8, 2015 at the Mission at Castle Rock Convalescent Center in Green River. He was born December 27, 1926 in Madill, Oklahoma, the son of John Franklin Reese and Odiebell Phillips Reese. He married Martha Marie McGaugh. They were later divorced. He then married Linda Lou Henry. They were also later divorced. He worked in the oil field with many drilling companies for 40 years. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. His interests were watching football and the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners, watching Western Movies and TV shows, and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his sons John Reese Jr. and Micah Reese both of Rock Springs, Michael Rees of Turlock, California, and Stephen Reese of Denver, Colorado; daughter Pamela Susie Mitchell Reese of Denver; brothers Travis Reese of Madill and Jimmy Reese of Denver; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Gene Reese and sisters Irene Reese, Frankie Roberts, Dorothy Reese, and Mildred Grenawalt. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the United Pentecostal Church, 3716 Foothill Blvd., Rock Springs where friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment with military honors will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
