Joseph and Erica Cordova Hollingsworth

While celebrating their second wedding anniversary, Erica Cordova Hollingsworth (20) and Joseph Alvin Hollingsworth(22) died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, in a car accident. Joey was born on June 14, 1990 in Tucson, AZ. He lived in Mayer, AZ, Prescott AZ, and Rock Springs, WY. He married Erica on July 24, 2010 in Green River, WY. They have one child, Kayden Allen Hollingsworth, born on August 18, 2010. Joey was a loving son, brother, husband, father, nephew, uncle and grandson. He loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his 2 year old son Kayden; Mother, Tracey Ostdahl Welsh; Father, Shannon Hollingsworth; Sisters, Ashley Scott and husband Bennett, Bryttnee Olivas and partner Chris McCurdy; Brother Colton Priest; Nephews, Carson, Elijah and Jonah Scott; Grandparents Allan and Pam Ostdaho of Rock Springs and Sue and Tom Nomis of Green River; Great-Grandmother Edna Ostdahl of Stanley, North Dakota; aunts and uncles Michelle and Darren Watson, Cody and Ken Hedge and Amy and Dom Erramouspe; cousins, Preslee, Darryen, Kolton, Taylor, Ryan, Sophie, Avery, Olivia, and Gabe; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins from Arizona. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Carl Eugene Hollingsworth; Grandparents Gene and Billie Hollingsworth; Great-Grandparents Blanch and Conrad Lysne and Alvin Ostdahl. Following a celebration of Joey’s life, cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Erica was born on November 24, 1991 in Rock Springs, WY. She lived in Rock Springs and Erica was a loving daughter, mother and wife. She loved boating, fishing, cooking, sewing, and karate with her father along with many numerous activities. She also loved spending time with her son and grandmother. Survivors include her 2 year old son Kayden; Mother, Stacy Cates; Father, Rickie Allen Cordova; Grandparents, Rebecca Javergui and Elmer Cordova. Grandpa Les McCurdy; Uncles and Aunts, Stanley and Leslie Hallett, Jeremy and Jordan McCurdy. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Angelo and Florence Vase, Grandma Dee McCurdy, Aunt Arnell Smith, and cousins, Johnny, Jessie, and Staley Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Kayden A. Hollingsworth at State Bank. Friends may pay respects for Joey and Erica on Sunday, July 29, 2012 between 4-6 p.m. at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Ave. A rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at SCM Catholic Church. Friends may pay respects one hour prior to service.
