Kenneth Clyde Kay, 67, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his home in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was a resident of Rock Springs for 6 years and a former resident of Castle Dale, Utah. He was born on April 1, 1954 in Nephi, Utah, the son of Clyde Donnell Kay and Onieta Colleen Worwood. Kenneth graduated from Juab High School in 1972. He married Carolyn Alice Goodin in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 26, 2002. Kenneth worked as a coal miner at the Deer Creek Mine for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kenneth enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, and being outdoors. He loved getting together with family and friends. Survivors include his wife Carolyn Kay of Rock Springs, WY; stepson Boyd McFarland and wife Jamie of Smithfield, UT; daughter Shanan Bailey and husband Lynn of Layton, UT; brothers Karl Kay and wife Gail of Lawrence, UT, Terry Kay and wife Lori of Huntington, UT, Gordon Kay and companion Bill Cronic of Wilton Manor, FL; sisters Sandy McArthur and husband Terry of Huntington, UT, Susan Bell and husband Steven of Rock Springs, WY; grandchildren Jaden Bailey, Jaxon Bailey, Madison Smith; as well as two aunts, one uncle, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Colleen Kay, nephew Karl Scott Kay, and great-nieces Octavia Bell and Kaylee Kolleen Anderson. Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Huntington 1st Ward Meetinghouse in Huntington, Utah.
