Kenneth “Roone” Scott Hortin
Ogden- Kenneth "Roone" Scott Hortin, 62, of Ogden passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 in Rock Springs, Wyoming from a sudden illness.
He was born March 10, 1947 in Ogden, the son of Kenneth and Marion McMillan Hortin. He attended schools in Clearfield and graduated from Clearfield High School with the class of 1965.
He served in the National Guard.
Roone owned and operated Tip Top Motors in Clearfield for many years.
His interests were his grandkids, collecting many items such as stamps, coins, and small cars, watching the History Channel, animals, trivia, driving, debating-especially about politics, sports, football, and gambling.
He is survived by his daughter Stacie Kelley (Casey) of Roy, Utah; brothers, Mark Hortin(Tracy) of Montana, Keith Hortin (Tina) of Utah; sister Jeanett Shaw(Doc) of Oregon; grandchildren, Matthew, Aydreyn & Trae; great-grandchild Adin, and two on-the-way; close friend Blaine Slater; his dog Teezer; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marion Hortin.
Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory.
Graveside service and inurnment will take place at 12:00 noon Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Clearfield Cemetery, Clearfield, Utah.
