Kent Gablenz

Kent R. Gablenz Rock Springs - Kent R. Gablenz, 59, of Rock Springs died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home. He was born September 10, 1952 in Salt Lake City, the son of Raymond Joseph Gablenz and Vera Bringherst Gablenz. He attended schools in Rawlins and graduated from Rawlins High School with the class of 1970. He married Kay Pilcher in 1983 in Rawlins. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His interests were fishing, golfing, watching Bronco games and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his wife Kay Gablenz of Rock Springs; daughters, Lucinda Gablenz of Sacramento, California, and Jennifer Gablenz of Rock Springs; brother Greg Gablenz of Riverside, California, sisters Marsha Mason and husband Greg of Reno, Nevada, and Sandra Gablenz of Cheyenne; grandchildren Erin Kay and Dustin Lee Darlington both of Rock Springs; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Brad Gablenz, granddaughter Breann Darlington. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2011 at the White Mountain LDS Chapel, 3315 White Mountain Blvd. , Rock Springs. Inurnment will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
