Superior – Kevan Petersen Crook, 56, died Sunday August 22, 2004 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Kevan was born March 3, 1948 in Afton, Wyoming the son of Charles J. and Eva Petersen Crook. He attended Smoot Elementary and graduated from Star Valley High School with the class of 1966. He married Donna O’Banion on April 29, 1994 in Syracuse, Utah.
Kevan served six years in the National Guard. He had been employed as a mechanic at BJ Services, Rock Springs.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His interests included fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Donna O’Banion-Crook of Superior; father, Charles J. Crook of Smoot, Wyoming; one son, Arlo Asevedo and wife Staci of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Sara Swanson and husband Jim of Casper, Wyoming; three brothers, Paul Crook and wife Nancy; Rodger Crook and wife Dora all of Smoot, Wyoming, Brent Crook and wife Linda of Centerville, Utah; two sister, Charleen Bill and husband Edward of Preston, Idaho, and Sue Ellen Buckley and husband Danny of Smoot, Wyoming; three grandchildren, Adam Swanson, Ashley, Brandon and Blake Asevedo.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eva Crook.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 28, 2004 at the LDS Stake Center, 2055 Edgar St., Rock Springs. Friends and family may call 5-7 p.m. Friday August 27, 2004 at Fox Funeral home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, Superior, Wyoming.
