Kevin H. Robertson Green River, WY - Kevin H. Robertson, 55, of Green River passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2011in Rock Springs, Wyoming after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 2, 1956 in Pocatello, Idaho, the son of Homer Leon Robertson and Reba McDaniel Robertson. He attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School with the class of 1974. In December of 1975, he was called to serve a 2 year mission for the LDS Church in Fukuoka, Japan. Following his mission, he met his sweetheart Pennie Lee Stoor. They were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple July 6, 1979. They lived in Pocatello and later moved to Green River where they have lived for 28 years. Kevin was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for the past 38 years. Over the years, he dedicated his time and talents serving in various capacities for the LDS Church. He served as Scout Master, Elder’s Quorum President, Young Men’s President, Bishop, Stake High Council and most recently as a Primary Teacher. His interests included golfing, baseball, camping, traveling, playing games and spending time with his family. He also shared a great deal of his time helping many friends and family members with various home repairs and remodeling projects. Survivors include his wife Pennie Robertson of Green River; son Cory Leon Robertson and wife Karen of Green River; daughters, Erin Marie Parker and husband Jason of Rock Springs, Heather Ann Robertson of Sandy, Utah, and Kendall Dawn Valenciano and husband John of Green River; mother-in-law Velma Stoor of Pocatello; sisters Myrna Grayson and husband Jay of Idaho Falls, Jean Miller and husband Tim of St. George, Utah, Ellen Call and husband William of Pocatello; sister-in-law Mary Robertson of Dublin, Ohio; grandsons, John Kevin Parker and Max Brian Parker; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jay Robertson, and father-in-law Max David Stoor. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Green River LDS Stake Center, 120 Shoshone Ave., Green River. Friends may call 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday December 1, 2011 at the church and also 9:30 am until 10:30 am prior to the services Friday. Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
