Kreg Tex Jasperson
Montrose, Colorado - Kreg Tex Jasperson, age 53, was born January 30, 1960, in Rock Springs, Wyoming and returned to his Heavenly Father on August 15th, 2013 in Montrose, Colorado.
Kreg was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held several callings in the church. Kreg was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master and touched the lives of many young men.
Kreg was an avid snowmobiler and dirt bike rider. His love of riding once led him to ride through Yellowstone Park with a cast on his leg. His generosity and laughter will be missed.
Kreg is survived by his wife, Jeanna, daughters Natalie Binder and husband Phil Rosenbaum, Melissa and Lafe Ellerbeck and Kaylee Jasperson ; his parents Jeraldine “Jeri” and Tex Jasperson, siblings Kael and Yvonne “Suz” Jasperson, Kim and Nancy Jasperson, Koral and Luis Salinas, Rene Jasperson-Barnett, and in-laws William and Bette Nickel and several nieces and nephews and their families who all loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kole C. Jasperson, maternal grandparents Cyril H. Potter, Mabel Potter and Rex M. Draney, paternal grandparents LaVon and Clint Jasperson.
Funeral services will be held in Montrose, Colorado at the LDS Stake Center on Monday August 19th at 10:30AM. An additional funeral service will be held Tuesday August 20th at 11AM at the First and Third Ward LDS Chapel, 1000 West 4th North in Green River, Wyoming. Interment will take place at the Riverview Cemetery, Green River.
In honor of Kreg and his giving life, the family has set up a memorial fund at Wells Fargo to go towards music programs in Montrose, Colorado. The Kreg Jasperson Memorial Fund for Creative Arts is available for any who wish to make a donation in his name under account #9274315184.
