Lauren Douglas
Rock Springs - Lauren Douglas, 68, of Rock Springs died Monday, March 3, 2013 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born October 27, 1944 in Philadelphia, Penn., the son of Robert D. and Evelyn Douglas. He attended Marston Middle School and graduated from Clairmont High School in San Diego with the class of 1962.
He married Bobbie Tipton July 11, 1973 in San Diego.
He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war.
He worked for Jim Bridger Power Plant for 10 years.
His interests were NASCAR, family, hunting, camping, horses, his dogs, working on cars, and drafting.
Survivors include his wife Bobbie Douglas of Rock Springs; son Lauren H. Douglas Jr. of Rock Springs; daughters, Dawn Uranker of Rock Springs, Patty Workman of Topeka, Kansas, Michelle Martin of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Lisa Kennedy of Butte, Montana; sister Dorthy Mitchell of San Diego, Cal.; grandchildren, Angela and John Wessel, Kayla, Myckeal and Jerico Uranker, Shaylee and Mason Martin, Tia Harrison and Tony Portillo; great-grandchildren Natalie and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Evelyn Douglas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Friends may call 6-8pm Sunday March 10, 2013 and Monday, March 11, 2013 one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
