Lawrence J. Hinds

Lawrence J. Hinds Rock Springs - Lawrence J. Hinds, 79, of Rock Springs died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs after a short illness. He was born April 18, 1931 in Grove City, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles O. Hinds and Carrie M. Sowers Hinds. Larry graduated from the Grove City High School with the class of 1948. He married Charlotte Sidwell. They were later divorced. He had been employed as a electrician for many years. He was a US Veteran having serviced in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He was a member of the American Legion Archie Hay Post 24 in Rock Springs. He was also a member of the Restoration Ministries Church. His interests were taking walks in the wilderness, taking drives, and helping other people in need. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry and Nancy of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 11, 2010 at the Restoration Ministries, 518 Elk Street, Rock Springs.
