Leona “Lee” Mae Wood Rock Springs – Leona “Lee” Mae Wood,89, of Rock Springs died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Castle Rock Convalescent Center, Green River after a short illness. Leona was born September 5, 1915 in Lake Norden, South Dakota the daughter of Joseph Francis and Cecil Jones Kiner. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Mitchell, South Dakota. She was also a member of the Mitchell Garden Club, Moose Lodge, St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxillary, the Women’s Club of Rock Springs, and The Young at Heart Senior Center. Survivors include one daughter, Janet Wiedrich and husband George of Rock Springs; two granddaughters, Kimber Gorsuch and husband Loren of Alliance, Nebraska, and Keri Rosette and husband Bill of Rock Springs; two grandsons, David Berteiliet and Danny Berteiliet and wife Robin all of Minnesota; eight great-grandchildren, Erin, Levi, and Bailey Jo of Alliance, Nebraska, Zachery, Braxton, and Carter Rosette of Rock Springs, Chad and Ryan Berteiliet of Minnesota; and several neices and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lee Berteiliet; six brothers, Ford, George, Clinton, Gordon, Wayne, and Glen Kiner; and five sister-in-laws. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services are pending and will be held in Mitchell, South Dakota.
