Leslie “Renae” Durfee Taylor
Rock Springs - Leslie “Renae” Durfee Taylor, 33, of Rock Springs died Saturday, November 29, 2014 after a sudden illness.
She was born February 18, 1981 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Charles H. Durfee and Valarie Neville Kamanao. She married Byron Taylor. They were later divorced.
She attended New Life Ministries, Restoration Ministries, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her interests were music, song writing, parenting, family, friends, the outdoors and life itself.
She was curious about the world and a dedicated student of life, music, family and her faith. Her enthusiasm was constant, her integrity impeccable. She remained optimistic through all the challenges she face. She was a beautiful, independent creative woman of light. Her inner radiance shined for all to see. She was high spirited, brave, and embraced life despite her physical ailments, and now she is free of the pain.
She touched many lives with her warmth and generosity, commitment to humanity, and was an example of courage and compassion that inspired those around her. Renae - Heaven only know what’s in store for you next!
Survivors include her companion Bobby Shalata of Rock Springs; mother Colleen Durfee Chidester of Rock Springs; daughters Mya Taylor and Tavia Shalata both of Rock Springs; brothers Charles A. Durfee of Washington, Rock White of Utah and Monte White of Pinedale; sisters Jonny Sartori of Utah, Krystal Reed of Texas, Misty Moore of Maryland, and Brooke White of Utah; grandmother Val Neville of Utah.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles H. Durfee, mother Valarie Kamanao, grandfather Ardon Durfee, grandmother Myra Durfee, grandfather Don Neville, sister Breanna Durfee and brother Tex White.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to the services.
Interment will take place in the Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Utah.
