Linda Johnson Call Rock Springs - Linda Johnson Call, 59, of Rock Springs died Friday, January 22, 2010 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born July 23, 1950 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Curtis and Norma Gaisford Johnson. She attended schools in Bountiful, Utah and graduated from Viewmont High School in Bountiful with the class of 1968. She then attended Brigham Young University where she received her BA degree. She married Howard S. Call on February 18, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Salt Lake City. Linda had been employed as a secretary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until her retirement in August 2009 after 19 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests were her family, genealogy, serving in her church, attending family parties, reading, listening to music, and performing as a percussionist in the college productions. Survivors include her husband Howard Call of Rock Springs; father, Curtis Johnson and wife Mary of Bountiful; daughters, Michele Call of Rock Springs, Kristy Griffith and husband Michael of Lehi, Utah, Lori Boyer and husband Amaleki, Jamie Lacey and husband Patrick all of Rock Springs, and Jenny Call of West Valley City, Utah; brothers, Chris Johnson and wife Cheryl of Bountiful, Scott Johnson and wife Lori of Olathe, Kansas, Bruce Johnson and wife Tanya of West Point, Utah, and Troy Johnson and wife Rachel of Centerville, Utah; sister, Marjie DiMattio and husband JD of Greensboro, Maryland; sister-in-law, Carol Johnson of West Valley City; six grandchildren, Emily, Miriam, Adam, Joshua, Olivia and Jared; 5aunts and 3 uncles; 30 cousins; 19 nieces and 14 nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Norma Johnson and brother Bob Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Rock Springs LDS Stake Center, 2055 Edgar St., Rock Springs. Friends may call 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, and also 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the services. Bishop Todd Rose will be officiating. Interment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
