Linda Gehrke

Linda Ann Gehrke Green River - Linda Ann “Rock Hound” Gehrke of Green River died December 31, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a lengthy illness. She was born in Elwood, Indiana, the daughter of Doris Grace Hicks. She previously had lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin and California before moving to Green River in 1980. Linda was employed as a bartender at the Cowboy Mast and the Green Gander in Green River. She also owned and operated Money Money Bingo. She was a member of the Green River Eagles Auxiliary. Her interests were spending time with her family, rock hunting, playing bingo, pool and yahtzee, scary movies, stock in "Vicks" and her dogs. She is survived by her lifelong partner, Bert “Bubba” Lucero of Green River; son Alan Bostwick of Rock Springs; daughters, April Rice of Green River, Pamela Nemetz of Casper, Crystal Ruiz and husband James of Green River, and Alice Trembley and husband James of Victorville, California; brothers, LeRoy Bradburn and wife Shirley of Elwood, Indiana, and Gene Eagle and wife Leslie of McCloud, California; sister Joyce Call of Elwood, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, Summer Sarratt, Eva Danielle Cole and husband James, Mike Ruiz and wife Laura, Leanne Stover and husband William, Steven Rice, Jimmy Flangan and wife Miranda, Jonathan Flangan, Ann Farris and husband Brandon, Joshua Flangan, Kayleigh Chavez, Bobby Jolly, Alan Bright, and Christina Bostwick; 31 great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews; her dog Darby. She was preceded in death by her mother, one daughter Katherine Flangan, brother-in-law Wimp Call, and granddaughter Melissa Bostwick. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Restored Ministries, 518 Elk St., Rock Springs. Pastor Jeff Edwards officiating.
