Lola Vaun Slaughter Telck Rock Springs - Lola Vaun Slaughter Telck, 97 of Rock Springs, died May 6, 2012 at her home. She was born December 30, 1914 in Hinckley, Utah, the daughter of Robert K. Slaughter and Fanny L. Losee Slaughter. She attended schools in Winton and graduated from Reliance High School with the class of 1932. She married Henry W. Telck on November 24, 1937 in Rock Springs. He preceded her in death August 21, 1976. She was instrumental in starting the first school lunch in Reliance. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a 60 year member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Her interests were dancing, cooking, and reading. Survivors include her daughter Marjane Telck of Rock Springs; brother Dee Slaughter of Green River; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Verle Slaughter, and brother Russ Slaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at the Rock Springs LDS Stake Center, 2055 Edgar St., Rock Springs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs and Friday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will take place in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery, Rock Springs.
