Mary Jane Ruble
Manila, UT - Mary Jane Yohey Ruble, 83, of Manila, Utah, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 21, 1925 in Ashby, Nebraska, the daughter of George S. and Lillie Davis Yohey. She attended schools in Ashby, and graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming.
She married Ivan Eugene "Gene" Ruble on April 23, 1944 in Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death February 28, 2006.
As a military couple, they lived in California, Utah, Newfoundland, Texas, Delaware and retired to Manila Utah in 1963 where they ranched until recently.
Mary was active in the agricultural booth at the Sweetwater County Fair, Manila/Linwood Ladies Homemaker's Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Cemetery Board, Forest Service Ladies Auxiliary (Pine Tree) and the Daggett County Lions' Club.
Her interests include spending time with her family, playing the piano, singing, listening to music, crafts, scrap booking, ranching, watching old movies, gardening, doing crossword puzzles and other word games, Utah politics, genealogy, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Mari Campbell and husband Al and Ray Ruble all of Manila, and Daniel Ruble and wife Janet of Rock Springs; nine grandchildren, Kelly Campbell and Clint Riley of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jesse Campbell and wife Rebecca of Layton, Utah, Melissa Walk and husband Kelly of Manila, Russell Campbell and wife Jessica of Manila, Rae Ann Ruble and husband Paul Sawyer of Manila, William Ruble of Rock Springs, and Rebecca, Stefanie and Carly Ruble of Rock Springs; seven great-grandchildren, Cody, Courtney, and Caitlyn Campbell, Wyatt, Ashton, and Addison Walk, and Tanner Campbell; two sisters-in-law, Edna Yohey of McMinnville, Oregon, and Ruth Yohey of Shelton, Washington; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents, one granddaughter, Katie Sue Ruble, and five brothers, Cleo, Cliff, Jerry, Bill and Ray Yohey.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Manila LDS Ward Chapel, Manila, Utah. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services.
Interment will take place in the Manila Cemetery, Manila, Utah.
