May E Gibson

Rock Springs -May Elizabeth Gibson, 80, of Rock Springs died Friday, May 2,2014 at her home. She was born June 13,1923 in Cordes Junction, Arizona, the daughter of Joseph Elmer Schell and Mary Lucrisha Sullivan Schell. She attended schools in Glendale, Arizona and graduated from Glendale High School with the class of 1939. She worked as a legal secretary for Arizona Courts of Appeals, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Bells and Beaux Square Dance Club in Glendale and was a member at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was also involved with the USO, Her interests were writing, square dancing, and calling square dances. She was also a published poet. Survivors include sons Cody Gibson and wife Carrie of Rock Springs, Hugh Gibson of Prescott, Arizona; daughter Josephine Riggs and husband Paul of Mayer Arizona; grandchildren RJ Gibson and wife Kate and Brandon Gibson; great- grandchildren Bracken, Bryline, and Kaydrie. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment will take place in the Phoenix Memorial Park, Phoenix, Arizona.
