Melinda "Mindy" Kay Stephens Rock Springs, WY - Melinda "Mindy" Kay Stephens, 45, of Rock Springs died December 1, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County after a sudden illness. She was born November 1, 1965 in Tribune, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel and Alice Holcomb Cutright. She attended schools in Wallace County, Kansas and graduated from Wallace County High School with the class of 1984 where she was active on the drill team. She married Joel Courtney Stephens in Sharon Springs, Kansas, April 26, 1997. She was employed as a cosmetologist for many years working for The Hair Team in Sharon Springs, Gail's Beauty Shop in Tribune, Kansas and Fantastic Sam's in Wichita and Guymon, Oklahoma. She was a member of the High Plains Baptist Church in Sharon Springs. Her interests were decorating, baking, gardening, 4-wheeling, biking, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her husband Joel Stephens of Rock Springs; one son Matthew Macormic of Rock Springs and companion Breanna Sharp of Sharon Springs; daughter Shasta Macormic and companion Princeton Armstrong both of Rock Springs; stepson Brady Stephens of Hays, Kansas; stepdaughter, Kayla Stephens and children Katy and Jaycee of Ashland, Kansas; parents, Dan and Alice Cutright of Sharon Springs; brothers, Mervin Cutright and wife Lisa of Sheridan, Wyoming, Mike Cutright and wife Sonja of Casper, and Mahlon Cutright of Everett, Washington; sister-in-law, Kelly Livengood and husband Bruce of Kanorado, Kansas; granddaughter AnnaBella D. Armstrong of Rock Springs; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, uncle Gerald, and mother-in-law Velma Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Additional funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Wesleyan Church, 309 W 2nd St., Sharon Springs, Kansas. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
