Michael John Mulinix Green River - Michael John Mulinix,45, of Green River , died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his home after a 14 month courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 27, 1967 in Rock Springs, the son of Johnny Mulinix and Pam Killpack Lucas. He attended schools in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 1985. He married Samantha Cooke July 15, 2000 in Rock Springs. He worked as a control room operator at OCI for 10 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His interests were golfing, camping, hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and his family. Survivors include his wife Samantha Mulinix of Green River; sons Justin and Hayden Mulinix of Centerville, Maryland, and Michael Mulinix of Green River; parents Johnny and Tina Mulinix of Green River, and Pam Lucas of Meridian, Idaho; grandparents Ray and Kathryn Tarter of Green River; brothers Rob Mulinix and wife Kari and David Mulinix and wife Janae all of Green River; brother-in-law Mike Cooke of Rock Springs; sister Janae Schumacher and husband Mike of Eagle, Idaho; 6 aunts, 5 uncles , numerous cousins, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John Wayne and Vera Mulinix, and W. June “Red” Killpack. Cremation will take place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Green River LDS Stake Center, 120 Shoshone, Green River. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, UT 84112.
