Michael D. Winters Green River - Michael D. Winters, 74, of Green River, died Tuesday, November 17, 2014 at the Mission at Castle Rock, Green River. He was a former resident of Caliente, Nevada. He was born November 30, 1939 in Los Angles, California, the son of Herman Winters and Helen Ridgley Winters. He married Delores Marie Maeder May 11, 1963 in Caliente. She preceded him in death September 1, 2013. He had worked as a surveyor for many years. He was a member of the Desert Brats Racing Team and was the Best in the Desert MC. He was a member of the Agape Baptist Church in Caliente. Survivors include his sons William “Billy” Winters and wife Sally and Andy Winters all of Green River; daughters Verlynn and Lori Thomas of Green River; grandchildren Tyrel and Ashlee Swett, Micki Thomas, Chad and Burgandy Thomas, Jessica Winters, Tyler Winters and Clinton Winters; great-grandchildren Zander, Dayne, Trevor, Isaac, Aiden, Piper, Boston, Roman and Teagan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Helen M. Winters; wife Delores Marie Winters. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Private family services will be held at a later date.
