Murla Dona

Murla D. Dona Rock Springs - Murla D. Dona, 87, of Rock Springs, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at Sage View Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was born March 1, 1921 in Cumberland, Wyoming, the daughter of Daniel Daniels and Emma Buchanan Daniels Wilde. She attended schools in Winton and Reliance. Murla married Victor Dona on November 26, 1940 in Green River. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2004. She had been employed Union Merc, Safeway, and City market for 28 years until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her interests were crocheting and visiting family and friends. She is survived by her one son, Norm Dona and wife Sherry and one daughter Dana Dona all of Rock Springs; two granchildren, Stacey Jacobson and husband Don, and Kelli Dona; two great grandchildren, Danyell Jacobson and Dakota Meyer; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor, 3 brothers, Danny, Clyde, and Laddie Daniels, one sister Blanch Welch. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 and Thursday one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Rock Springs.
