Myron Gene Griffin

Rock Springs - Myron Gene Griffin, 67, of Rock Springs died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born September 22, 1939 in Hydro, Oklahoma, the son of Virgil and Helen Bowles Griffin. Gene attended schools in Hydro, OK, and graduated from Hydro High School with the class of 1958. He owned and operated The Sign Center for 49 years. He married Sue Crabb on July 3, 1959 in Wellington, TX. He was a member of the Eagles 151 in Rock Springs. His interest were fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Sue Griffin of Rock Springs: two sons, Royce Wayne Griffin and companion Debbie Firnekas of Rock Springs, Danny Lee Griffin and wife Leslie of Corvallis, OR; one daughter Rebecca Mezenen and husband Doug of Saudi Arabia; two brothers, Dale Griffin and wife Florence of Fremont, CA, and Duane Griffin of Gold Run , CA; one sister Elaine McCarty of Herndon, VA; five grandchildren, Jessie, Jerrod, Josh, Zachary, and Layne; one great-grandchild Ashton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Cremation has taken place at Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs. At his request, no funeral services will be held.
