Neil W. Heikes Cora, WY - Neil W. Heikes, 72, of Cora, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his home in Cora after a lengthy illness. He was born March 13, 1938 in Rock Springs, the son of Willis Dutch and Janet Stoddard Heikes. He attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1956. His interests were hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving man with a huge heart that cared for all. A very kind soul. Survivors include his companion, Joanne Ludwig of Cora; sons Shane Heikes of Orlando, Florida, and Troy Heikes of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughter, Roxann Todd of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; stepchildren, Joannie and Johnny Retel of Rock Springs, Matt Miller of Bountiful, and Tom Miller of Las Vegas; brother, Barry Heikes of Rock Springs; sisters, Karlene Bozner and Gail Miskulin both of Rock Springs; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dutch and Janet Heikes. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Sublette County Retirement Center Heritage Room, Pinedale.
