Nellie Shiflett

Nellie Shiflett Rock Springs - Nellie Shiflett, 87, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Rock Springs. She has been a Rock Springs resident for the past 5 years and a former resident of Kalispell, Montana. She was born February 27, 1924 in Haxby, Montana, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Hall. She married Keith L. Shiflett November 1941 in Kalispell. He preceded her in death in 1981. She was a homemaker, caregiver, and housekeeper for many years. She was a member of the Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church. Her interests were her family, church, crocheting and watching TV. Survivors include her son Keith E. Shiflett of Spokane, Washington; daughter Beverly Megahey and husband Larry of Rock Springs; grandchildren Kevin Wayne Megahey and Scott Alan Shiflett; great-grandchildren Matthew & Keith O’Brian, Amanda and Aleisha Smith. She was preceded in death by parents, brothers Bert, Cecil Rex, Joseph and Theron "Pete", sisters Wilma and Alma, and one granddaughter Shelly Smith. Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church, 125 Firestone Rd., Rock Springs.
