Norma Joann Ramsay, 90, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Mission at Castle Rock in Green River, Wyoming.
She was born on March 19, 1932, in Rock Springs, WY, the daughter of Eva Jackson and Frank Kaumo.
Norma was a 1951 graduate from the Rock Springs High School.
She married James Ramsay in Rock Springs, WY in 1953; he preceded her in death on February 19, 2000.
Norma worked in food service for school district #1 for 22 years until her retirement in 1990.
She worked with her husband, Jim, on the family ranch for 47 years. Norma worked with livestock daily and always had the time to offer hospitality and great meals for friends and family that were always present helping with any number of chores a ranch can offer.
She is survived by her daughters Sherry Reddick and husband Joe of Rock Springs, WY, Diana Gatti and partner Ken of Cora, WY; grand children Ron Gatti, Eva Gatti, Josh Gomez, Cassie Reddick, Lacey Reddick, Nicole Simmons, James Ramsay, Jackson Ramsay, Beau Ramsay; great-grandchildren Colton Gatti, Grace Gatti, Selah Gatti, Eli Simmons, Hazel Simmons, Roger Gatti, Bobbie Larson; nephew/son Danny Collins; brother in laws Jim Rafferty, and Jim Poulnott
She is preceded in death by her husband James Ramsay, son Boyd Ramsay, parents Frank and Eva Kaumo, sisters Bev Rafferty, Pam Collins, Shirley Thomas, Kathy Poulnott, brothers Frank Kaumo, Ron Kaumo, and Robert Kaumo.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00am, Friday, September 23, 2022 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Norma’s name be made to Hospice of Sweetwater County or The Mission at Castle Rock.
