Phillip Behr

Philip J. Behr Rock Springs, WY - Philip J. Behr, 82, of Rock Springs, Wyoming died Friday July 20, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born July 5, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of George Behr and Anna Sczudek Behr. He attended schools in New York and graduated from Elmhurst High School, Elmhurst, New York. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He had been employed as general manager of Seiko Watch Company in Guam for many years. He was a member on the Huntington Historical Society in Long Island, New York. He was a member of New Life Ministries in Rock Springs. His interests were genealogy research and opera. Survivors include a close friend Mary Canty of Long Island; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place a Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. Memorial services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs with Pastor John Ratcliff officiating.
