Phyllis Brown

Rock Springs - Phyllis J. Brown, 63, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at her home in Rock Springs after a lengthy illness. She was born November 17, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Everett and L. Irene Culler Massey. She attended schools in Wichita and had been employed many years for both Cessna and Beechcraft Aircraft Companies in Wichita. She served for 3 years as advocate for the YMCA in Rock Springs. She was a member of the Church of Christ and her interest was crocheting. Survivors include three sons, Billy Fitzpatrick and wife Kristin of Hanover, Indiana, Michael Fitzpatrick of Wichita, Kansas, and Curtis Ridgeway and Jenny of Rock Springs; one daughter, Cheryl Nuckols of Antioch, Tennessee; two sisters, Darlene Gordon and husband Steve of Wichita, Kansas, and Barbara Ann Collins of Pueblo, Colorado; eight grandchildren, Lathena, Brandi, Britani, Katie, Michael, Matthew, Kennedy and Hayden; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and L. Irene Massey, one brother David Massey and one sister, Donna Brown. Graveside services and interment were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2006 at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home, Rock Springs.
