Rock Springs - Rena Dalpiaz, 89, of Rock Springs, died March 30, 2004 in Brigham City, Utah after a short illness.
She was born December 15, 1914 in Crowberg, Kansas, the daughter of Celeste and Costantina Menghini Neideriaufner. She attended schools in Superior and graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1932.
Rena married Eligio Dalpiaz on October 1, 1936 in Superior, Wyoming. He preceded her in death March 29, 1968.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Ed Lee Dalpiaz and wife Pat of Richland, Washington; two daughters, Annette M. Anderson and husband Ted of Brigham City, Utah, and Paula J. McKenzie and husband Pat of Cody, Wyoming; one sister, Erma Prevedel of Rock Springs; nine grandchildren, Kent Anderson and wife Kathy, Brett Dalpiaz and wife Wendy, Tony Dalpiaz and wife Krista, Greg Dalpiaz, Brian McKenzie, Jon McKenzie and wife Christina, Wendy Wilkes and husband Dave, Kris Walker and husband Brad, and Erin McKenzie; 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; several nieces and nephews including Linda Frolic, Alfred Prevedel both of Rock Springs, and Herman Prevedel, of Loveland, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Alfred Niederiaufner, one sister, Jo Harper.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rev. Dennis Cloonan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, April 2, 2004 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00. Friends may also call Saturday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the St. Joseph’s section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
