Richard Vernon Abbott Rock Springs - Richard Vernon Abbott, 28, of Rock Springs died Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born May 27, 1981 in Kemmerer, the son of Warren LeRoy Abbott and Deborah Jean Painter Abbott. His interests were hunting, fishing, mud bogging, working on cars, spending time with his dog Shelby, and he loved working along side of his father on the farm. He was a good friend to all who knew him. Survivors include his father, Warren Abbott of Rock Springs; mother Deborah Haberacker and husband John on Johnstown, New York; brother, Tom Haberacker of Tupper Lake, New York; sisters, Rosita Myers of Albany, New York, Hope Haberacker of Gloversville, New York, and Rebecca Lamont of Johnstown, New York; grandmothers, Marion Abbott of LaFayette, New York, and Barbara Painter of Auburn, New York; several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Vernon Abbott and Richard Painter, and one uncle Bill Abbott. Friends and family may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday May 2, 2010 and 4-8 p.m. Monday May 3, 2010 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Cremation will follow at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs.
